Founded 1997 by two brothers (Frank & Luis Tomasino), Foodtrader.com was considered “ahead of its time”..
Foodtrader.com (managed by Tomasino Farms, Inc.) is an online business-to-business marketplace and provider of eProcurement solutions for the food and agriculture industry.
The Foodtrader.com platform allows Tomasino Farms, Inc 
to provide Shippers and Buyers 30+ years of experience to successfully execute trades while leveraging the best technologies available complimented by the expertise of our entire team.
We specialize in value deals (excess inventory clearance), reverse auctions for request for quotes (RFQ), and core logistical services including trade security, trade funding, credit insurance, claim assistance, as well as transportation and inspection assistance.
During Covid19 when the world was compelled to use online marketplaces, the idea to re-launch Foodtrader.com began to take shape. Then on December 31, 2022, Foodtrader.com came back online!
Our Journey:
In the 90’s we established a food trading company (General Brands International, Inc.) that specialized in the import of spices, grains, fresh produce, and ingredients on a bulk basis. We sourced products directly from India, China and Central & South America and distributed LTL and FCL deliveries to both United States and Canadian markets. As our business progressed, we identified a potential need for an online business-to-business marketplace for buying and selling food products and this is where the idea of “Foodtrader.com” began.
Our family business continued in the food trade industry and in 2001, Luis Tomasino Quintanilla established Land Trek Costa Rica SA to source Tropical Products from Latin America.
Mr. Frank Tomasino branched into Trade Finance and founded AmRock Financial LLC., which today is a major provider of trade finance and credit insurance.
In 2016 we established Tomasino Farms, Inc. (Florida, USA), a key link between exporters/shippers and North American Buyers. We have “heard it all, seen it all!” We have always stood side-by-side with our shippers, receivers, growers, and clients of all types and sizes to enjoy and weather whatever may be on the horizon. We love trading agriculture and it’s our honor and privilege to bring people together through food.
